Care & Sizes

Engel and Cosilana Untreated virgin wool needs hand washing or gentle cold machine washing on a wool program. It is very important to use a wool detergent! If you are planning to wash it in the machine it will shrink a bit, so you may want to buy a bigger size than otherwise.

BUT! Untreated wool does not need to be cleaned very often, it is not a fibre like cotton, and it repels dirt and is self cleaning. Often hanging it outsides for a day will be fine. You only really need to wash it if something has been spilled on it. It sounds strange but it works!

Sizes:

Sizes are given in cms according to your child's height. To get a more precise idea measure your child, but if you plan to wash on a wool program in the machine please go up a size as they will shrink a bit. If you have any doubt about sizes please send us an email.
